    What is cron?

Cron is the scheduler that runs tasks automatically at set times on Linux and Unix systems. Backups, report emails, cache cleanups and data syncs are scheduled with cron expressions. The same syntax is used by Kubernetes CronJobs, GitHub Actions and many cloud schedulers.

    Five fields

A standard cron expression has five fields: minute, hour, day of month, month and day of week. For example, '0 3 * * 1' means every Monday at 03:00.

    Easy building

Pick a preset (every hour, every day at midnight, weekday mornings…) or edit the fields one by one. The tool explains in plain words when the expression will run, so you catch wrong schedules before they reach production.

    1. Pick a preset or edit the fields.
    2. See the resulting cron expression.
    3. Read the plain-English explanation to verify it.
    4. Copy the expression into your crontab.

    Why use this tool?

Create correct, understandable schedules without memorising cron syntax.
