Scan QR codes without an app

Scanning a QR code on your computer screen, in an image you received by email or in a screenshot with your phone can be awkward. The QR Code Scanner decodes the code as soon as you upload the image. You can also scan live with your phone or laptop camera.

What you can do with the result

Copy the decoded content with one click or open it directly if it's a link. The raw content of Wi-Fi, vCard and other QR types is displayed too.

    Safety tip

QR codes can lead to malicious sites, so check the address before opening a link. Scanning happens entirely in your browser; your image and camera feed are never sent to a server.

How to use QR Code Scanner

    1. Choose the scan source: image upload or camera.
    2. Upload the image with the QR code or point your camera at it.
    3. See the decoded content in the result area.
    4. Copy the content or open the link.

    FAQ

Why does it ask for camera permission?

Live scanning needs access to your camera. The feed is processed only in your browser and is never recorded or sent.

The QR code won't scan. What should I do?

Make sure the code is sharp, fully visible and large enough. Blurry or tiny codes may not be readable.

    Can it read barcodes too?

This tool is designed for QR codes; it doesn't read linear barcodes such as EAN or Code 128.
