Meaning, not words
Traditional text comparison counts shared words. The Sentence Similarity tool turns each text into a sentence embedding and shows the cosine similarity between them as a percentage, so 'The car is fast' and 'This vehicle is quick' score high despite sharing few words.
Model options
- Small English model: fast, for English text
- Multilingual model: understands many languages including Turkish

FAQ
Why do different words score high?
The model compares meaning. "The car is fast" and "This vehicle is quick" use different words but mean nearly the same thing.
Can I use it to check plagiarism?
No. It measures the similarity in meaning of two short texts and doesn't search sources.
What percentage means 'same meaning'?
There's no fixed threshold; above about 80% usually indicates very close meaning, but it varies with the model and text.
